DNA and Genetic Testing through AKC
No prospective male or female is bred without genetic testing. None.
We do the full AKC DNA testing for the genetic makeup of each of our prospective parents. We will not breed a dog with a known deficiency that will affect their life or cause distress to anyone.
Our breeding dogs receive genetic DNA screening for inherited Labrador health conditions and traits. DNA testing helps identify whether a dog is clear, a carrier, or at risk for specific inherited conditions and helps us make informed breeding decisions. DNA testing is used together with orthopedic and eye health evaluations and does not guarantee that a dog will never develop a health condition.
Binding Agreement
Every Whisper Thistle puppy is secured by a comprehensive purchase contract that outlines our health commitments, vaccination schedules, and feeding guidelines. We guarantee hips, elbows, and eye clearances for twenty-two months from the date of birth, ensuring full support for your new companion.
Registration documents, microchip transfer paperwork, and certified pedigree records are provided directly upon final payment and pickup. Our return policy guarantees that any placement can be safely returned to Whisper Thistle at any stage of life if personal circumstances require it.
