Our philosophy...
It is definitely a family affair.
Our puppies are raised hands on and socialized with the strictest of germ care. They go to their forever homes after being held, loved on, acclimated to the outdoors and checked out by their veterinarian. We let our licensed veterinarian handle all the medical care including shots, working, dew claws, microchips (if requested), and any other thing. Momma is always under the care of her veterinarian.
What we believe...
If it is not in the best interest of the puppy, it will not be done. When we buy puppies, we buy them with full registration. We pay attention to them, test them, train them and learn things. Our momma Jules. She was the best mom. She did an amazing job with both her litters. She seemed a little tired on the last one even after a two year break. Jules was 4. She had no more puppies.
Harbor - she is from Zarate. She is Tweeder's sister from a later litter. After spending time with her, we realized she was just too intuitive to the needs of humans. Would she have been a great mom? Probably. But it would have stressed her way too much. She didn't need that. So she is just part of the family, and loved just the same.
And then there is Darcy. When families came to be picked by their puppy, Darcy climbed up in my lap and slept the entire time anyone was there. So... Darcy stayed. She never had puppies. She is just the baby. Darcy picked us.
We do not retire and rehome our males or females. If they do not meet breeding standards or it is not in their best interest, we do not breed them. They live with us as family and will their entire lives.
We do not partner with people outside of our home for the sake of breeding. We buy the quality and traits we love and then we do our best by them and those humans that they pick to live with forever.
Some of our grandpuppies and great grandpuppies are serving in Patriot Paws. These babies are bred for kindness as well as beauty and hunting. We have had puppies pick the most amazing veterans that came to our home, and they are serving them well.
We will meet you at the airport and sit with you for your return flight if you are in a jam on time and having a crisis. We will talk and spend half a day with you if you and the puppy are not quite sure. We get it. We get it all. The puppy and the new family are what is important. It is very important that everyone gets to know everybody. We develop life long relationships, and many of our puppies have gone to repeat families or breeders. We have many, many references from families that have adopted puppies. We also have three highly reputable veterinarians who do all the heavy lifting for us. They can be researched and contacted as references.
Our entire crew is cared for by their medical team. We do not DIY. We absolutely could, but we don't. We leave that to the licensed professionals.
